• What is special about the temple tip ?
– The design resembles a crystal underlining the inspiration and the Black Crystal name of the collection.
– The temple tip is made from Rabalon which is a unique, medical grade polymer and one of the best materials because of its oil resistance, and outstanding weather and heat resistance.
• What is special about the grey colour?
– The developed grey colour is careful to enhance blue eyes. The colour is matched so it works together with any skin tone.
• Why is there an indent on the top of ZENITH?
– The frame is inspired by a classic vintage frame, and with the connecting metal piece. This is marked by the indent on the bridge.
– The indent leds the eye to follow the rim of the glass, and thereby breaks the straight line of the bridge and softens it.

• Facet cut on SKYCRYSTAL ?
– The decoration on the lenses and frame resembles the facets of a real diamond.
– The facet cu is done by hand in the optician´s own workshop.
– The frames come with plain demo lenses, and a facet cut demo lenses. We can also supply facet cut sun lenses.
– SKYCRYSTAL is made for a wide face. The details at the centre attract attention for the eye and makes the face appear slimmer.
• Why is the front in block Titanium?
– The block Titanium gives a strong and robust frame, which allows opticians to fit any size of lenses into the frame.
• Why is the temple made in beta Titanium?
–The beta Titanium is highly flexible, yet the temple tips can be bent. This removes weight from the frame and gives a good balance.

• How are the frames coloured ?
– The colouring is a 4-step process.
1. The entire frames are electroplated with 24 ct. Gold, Palladium or rose Gold.
2. The precious surface that will be visible is masked.
3. First layer of colour is applied in a wet dip coating process and allowed to cure.
4. Second layer is applied as a spray coating by hand and allowed to cure.
• How is the Gold or Palladium surface applied?
– The Gold is applied through a galvanic plating (electroplating) with a thickness of 5 microns. This is the exclusive process often used for jewellery.
• What is Palladium?
– Palladium is a precious metal in the same family as Platinum and Gold. It has been used for jewellery and to produce white Gold for many years. Recently jewellers have started to use it again, and it is becoming more popular due to it clear, shiny and white/silvery appearance. Like Gold and Platinum, Palladium is a very resistant material that does not oxidise.
• Are the frames allergy-friendly ?
– Yes, Titanium is hypoallergenic and, therefore, very skin friendly. All metal parts of the fame, incl. hinges and screw blocks are made from Titanium. Only the screws themselves are made from stainless steel, but they are normally painted or plated with Gold or Palladium.
• Where are the frames produced?
– They are manufactured by hand in Japan in SabaeCity. This is one of the leading centres in the world for eyewear production, and the world´s leading centre for high quality Titanium frames.
– The frames can be customised with real Diamonds, which is done by hand in Denmark by one of the leading Diamond jewellers.
• Does FALVIN offer a warranty on the frames?
– Yes, FALVIN offers a 2-year warranty on the frames from the day of shipment.
